The Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI), a major US venture to modernise the way that clinical trials are conducted, has published a summary of its deliberations on how sponsors can best monitor the conduct of clinical trials1,2. The discussions on how to monitor the conduct of clinical trials effectively and efficiently as a component of quality were published in May by the CTTI, which comprises experts from the Food and Drug Administration and Duke University.
