FDA is investigating counterfeit flat sheets of polypropylene surgical mesh being marketed in the U.S. under the C.R. Bard/Davol brand name, the agency announced March 11. Surgical meshes are used to reinforce weak soft tissue in the repair of hernias and chest wall defects. Four affected product sizes from several lots have been identified to date
