The report, which examines the state of the neurotech industry, cites neuroimaging as a key emerging trend this year. In particular, advancements are being made in using imaging to diagnose and select treatment for psychiatric illness. According to NeuroInsights, sales in the neurodiagnostics sector, which includes products like magnetic resonance imaging and positron emission tomography devices, grew 3.7% in 2008 to $16.8 billion. Non-diagnostic neurodevice sales were up 18.6% in 2008 to $5.2 billion
