Image-guided surgical robotics company Prosurgics and robotic system maker Adept Technology announce March 3 an agreement to collaborate on the development of Prosurgics' next generation of systems for neurological and soft tissue surgery. U.K.-based Prosurgics currently markets the PathFinder robotic system for neurosurgery and EndoAssist for minimally invasive thoracic and abdominal surgery. Livermore, Calif., firm Adept also provides robotic systems to the packaged goods, electronic and industrial markets.
