Executive Summary
Edwards expands D.C. presence: Dirksen Lehman and Barry Liden are heading up Edwards Lifesciences' Washington, D.C., government affairs office, the firm announces Oct. 26. Lehman, the new VP-government affairs, joins Edwards from consulting firm Clark & Weinstock, where he led the health care practice. He previously served as special assistant to the President for legislative affairs as the White House's primary liaison to the Senate for health care issues (1"The Gray Sheet" Feb. 5, 2001, p. 24). Liden, director for government affairs, joined the firm in 2002. He previously was director of external communications and most recently directed the firm's state government affairs operations from the Irvine, Calif., headquarters.
