Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor & Welfare grants first-ever reimbursement for cardiac resynchronization therapy-defibrillator (CRT-D) devices, Medtronic announces July 7. Implantable cardioverter defibrillators and CRT-pacemakers have been reimbursed in Japan since 1996 and 2004, respectively.
