Braun Medical inked a five-year, $70 mil. supply contract with San Francisco-based hospital system Catholic Healthcare West for di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP)-free IV bags, solutions and tubing, the firm announces Nov. 21. B. Braun is billing the deal as the first to validate its strategy of offering a full line of IV products free of the polyvinyl chloride softening agent.
