Results of a 100-patient trial of Cardica's C-Port distal anastomosis system for cardiac bypass are presented by Michael Mack, MD, Cardiothoracic Surgery Associates of North Texas at the European Association for Cardiothoracic Surgery/European Society of Thoracic Surgeons joint meeting in Leipzig, Germany Sept. 13. Patency of bypass vessels attached with C-Port was 96.9% after six months, compared to 84.9% in historical studies.
