J&J Cypher and Boston Scientific Taxus drug-eluting stents are recommended for coronary artery disease where percutaneous intervention is clinically appropriate for symptomatic angina/acute myocardial infarction with target arteries less than 3 mm in diameter or lesions longer than 15 mm, UK's National Institute for Clinical Excellence states in a recent final appraisal determination.
