Executive Summary
Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) introduces "Medical Aural Rehabilitation and Hearing Aid Coverage Act of 2001" (HR 2934) on Sept. 21. The legislation would authorize Medicare coverage for hearing aids and aural rehabilitation services by audiologists and physicians for patients with hearing loss and would provide new hearing aids every three years as needed by Medicare beneficiaries.
