Executive Summary

Launch of the SAXX renal stent delivery system outside the U.S. is announced July 7. The device combines the SAXX stent and the Opti-Plast XT balloon catheter to create a "unique and flexible" low-profile combination, Bard claims. The system is available in catheter lengths of 75 cm and 120 cm and comes in a range of diameters, from 5-7 mm, and lengths of 13-20 mm. The SAXX is CE-marked and available in Europe immediately. Separately, Joseph Cherry joins Bard June 30 as VP-operations with direct line responsibility for global manufacturing and purchasing
