Ambulatory infusion system concern acquires privately held San Antonio-based Spinal Specialties, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of custom spinal, epidural and nerve block infusion kits for $1.5 mil. The purchase price consisted of $750,000 in cash and 300,000 shares of I-Flow common stock. Spinal Specialties has a line of custom disposable products for chronic pain management, and I-Flow says it plans to "enter new markets where the opportunity for growth is believed to be substantial."
