Legislation passes the House of Representatives Sept. 15 by a 401-1 vote. Co-sponsored by Reps. Tom Bliley (R-Virginia) and Michael Bilirakis (R-Florida), the Mammography Quality Standards Reauthorization Act of 1998 differs from a measure that cleared the Senate last year in that it provides for direct notification of mammogram test results to the patient in laymen's terms.
