CardioThoracic Systems OPCAB: Off-pump coronary artery bypass system for multi-vessel minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass procedures using a midline approach is unveiled at the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Conference in New Orleans the week of Jan. 26. The next generation device, which incorporates four stabilizer mounts and two stabilizers, is intended to allow the surgeon to approach the heart from several angles. Also debuted at the conference is CTS' next generation MIDCAB modular stabilizer set for performing bypass surgery using a thoracotomy approach, and its new FloCoil anastomotic shunt.
