Executive Summary
Sterling: DirectRay direct-to-digital x-ray capture device gains 510(k) clearance Dec. 1, capping a seven-year, $60 mil. development project by the former DuPont Diagnostic Imaging division. Sterling expects to install the first flat-panel detectors in the first half of 1998, incorporating the panels in its iiRAD family of x-ray systems and selling the panels on an original equipment manufacturing basis to other x-ray manufacturers.
