ICUS-GUIDED CORONARY INTERVENTIONS YIELD 94.7% ACUTE SUCCESS RATE in preliminary results of the strategy for intracoronary ultrasound-guided PTCA and stenting (SIPS) study, released March 18 at the American College of Cardiology Scientific Session in Anaheim, California. The rate compared favorably to an 87.4% acute success rate demonstrated by a cohort of patients who underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty and/or stenting procedures with standard angiography guidance.
