ELECTRON BEAM CT UTILITY IN PREDICTING CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE is supported by the American Heart Association in a scientific statement published in the Sept. 1 issue of Circulation. A high calcium score with electron beam computed tomography (EBCT) "may be consistent with a moderate to high risk of a cardiovascular event within the next 2 to 5 years," the association states.
