Baxter: Firm's Vascular Systems Division signs exclusive license agreement with researchers at the University of Sydney, Australia, to commercialize a minimally invasive vascular graft system for the repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The system, developed by Geoffrey White, MD, and Weiyun Yu, BS, uses a catheter to deliver the graft to the site of the aneurysm, where the graft seals the aneurysm, creating a "new channel for blood to flow through the aortic artery," Baxter says.
