SILICONE IMPLANT LEAKAGE ASSAY DEVELOPMENT RECEIVES $82,000 FDA GRANT from the agency's Office of Women's Health. One of 17 agency research projects to receive OWH grants for fiscal year 1996, the silicone proposal was submitted by Woody Ediger, a research scientist in the Office of Science and Technology at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Ediger is aiming to develop a "safe, economical assay for silicone contamination in blood and tissue," OWH says.
