ANNUALLY if all contractors reviewed claims for six high-volume procedures with the software, General Accounting Office Assistant Director for Health Financing and Policy Issues William Reis testified before the House Government Reform and Oversight/Intergovernmental Relations Subcommittee Feb. 8. Reis told the panel that the six most commonly reimbursed procedures are echocardiograms, eye exams, chest x-rays, colonoscopy, YAG laser surgery, and duplex scan of extracranial arteries.
