SILICONE BREAST IMPLANTS: NO INCREASED RISK OF CONNECTIVE-TISSUE DISEASES was found in an analysis of 14 years of follow-up data from the Nurses' Health Cohort study, Jorge Sanchez-Guerrero, MD, Harvard Medical School, Boston, et al. report in a study published in the June 22 New England Journal of Medicine. The researchers say that they "found no evidence of an association between silicone breast implants and either connective-tissue diseases defined according to a variety of standardized criteria or signs or symptoms of connective-tissue disease."
