Executive Summary
CLIA '88 test categorization: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updates list of test complexity categorizations under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988. The list, published in the May 15 Federal Register, includes roughly 2,900 additional tests that have been categorized since CDC published its last categorization list in July 1993 ("The Gray Sheet" Aug. 2, 1993, p. 4).
