DEVICE USER FEE COLLECTION TIED DIRECTLY TO MINIMUM FDA STAFFING LEVELS under an amendment to the Medical Device User Fee Act (HR 4728) agreed to July 29 at the House Energy and Commerce/Health Subcommittee mark-up of the bill. The amendment would explicitly bar the agency from collecting device user fees if minimum staffing levels are not maintained.
