The five biggest orthopedic device companies – Medtronic, Smith + Nephew, Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes, Zimmer Biomet and Stryker – reported physician payments totaling $516m for 2022, according to a report published earlier this summer on a website maintained by the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
