Discard Diagnostics From Universal Meditech, FDA Warns

The US Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers not to use more than a dozen diagnostics from Universal Meditech, including pregnancy tests and those to detect urinary tract infections.

The US Food and Drug Administration recently issued a safety communication warning consumers that 15 diagnostics from Fresno, CA-based Universal Meditech, Inc. (UMI) are unreliable and should not be used.

The potentially ineffective products include several pregnancy tests and diagnostics for urinary tract infections and ovulation.
