Boston Scientific announced that the US Food and Drug Administration approved its POLARx cryoablation system, which includes the POLARx FIT cryoablation balloon catheter.

The system’s balloon can be deployed in either 28mm or 31mm diameters. It is indicated for pulmonary vein isolation ablation to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.
