Tissium Hopes Its Programmable Polymer Will Be A Gamechanger For Nerve Repair

Paris, France-based Tissium, formerly known as Gecko Biomedical, has developed a light cured, biocompatible, biodegradable, programmable polymer for use in a range of tissue reconstruction applications. 

Christophe Bancel, Tissium’s CEO, told Medtech Insight that the traditional ways of reconstructing tissue – stitching and suturing – leave much to be desired.
