Last-Minute Changes To COVID Law A Good Compromise Says German IVD Industry

Germany’s amended infection prevention law was voted through in the Bundestag after the COVID-19 testing frequency provision for hospital staff was made less onerous. But not everyone is happy.

Germany’s lower house of parliament (Bundestag) passed the amended infection prevention law (IfSG) on 8 September after a reportedly heated debate. Late changes to provisions regarding COVID-19 testing frequency for hospital staff were inserted during the second and third readings.
