Abbott’s Next-Generation Spinal Cord Stimulator Gets FDA Nod

The newly approved Proclaim Plus system allows physicians to treat as many as six independent pain sites and choose the lowest-possible effective dose for each site.

Abbott announced on 24 August that the US Food and Drug Administration has approved its new Proclaim Plus spinal cord stimulation system to treat chronic pain.

The new stimulator, like its predecessor the Proclaim XR system, also can be used for up to 10 years without requiring a recharge.
