Pear Adds Spanish Version Of Its Addiction Therapy PDTs

Availability of Spanish-language prescription digital therapeutics for the treatment of substance use disorder and opioid use disorder will address important health equity and health care disparities, according to Pear.

Therapeutics is trying to expand access to its reSET prescription digital therapeutic (PDT) for substance use disorder and reSET-O PDT for opioid use disorder by rolling out Spanish-language versions of both PDTs.

The US Food and Drug Administration cleared Pear’s reSET in 2017 and cleared reSET-O in 2018. They are the only FDA-cleared PDTs their respective indications. (Also see "
