Arthrex, Inc. has agreed to pay $16m to resolve allegations the device maker violated anti-kickback law. It’s the highest-profile of several medtech-related cases in which the US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced resolutions this week.

The DOJ says Arthrex violated the False Claims Act by paying a Colorado-based orthopedic surgeon to use the company’s SutureBridge and SpeedBridge kits, thereby causing fraudulent claims to be submitted...
