The global market for point of care diagnostics products is expected to grow at a compound annual rate of 5.9%, from $19.0bn in 2020 to $25.3bn by 2025, according to a new report from Informa’s Meddevicetracker.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been responsible for a large part of this growth. In 2020, infectious disease testing which includes SARS-CoV-2 testing products accounted for $6,695m worth of sales.
