Medtronic’s Hugo Surgery Robot Enters European Market

Medtronic’s robotic-assisted surgery system earned a CE mark approval for urologic and gynecologic procedures, which make up about half of all robotic procedures.

Medtronic will introduce its Hugo robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery system in Europe through the Partners in Possibility Program, a collaboration with the leading hospitals that will be among the first centers to use the system and participate in a global patient registry.

The company announced that Hugo earned a CE mark for urologic and gynecologic procedures on 11 October.
