The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is to recruit a new chief executive after Gillian Leng announced she was retiring from the health technology assessment (HTA) organization for England.

Leng has worked at NICE for 20 years and took over as only the second chief executive in the organization’s history in April 2020.
