Intuitive Exceeds Expectations In Q1 As Da Vinci Sales And Surgeries Recover

The robotic surgery company recorded $1.29bn in first-quarter revenue, an 18% year-over-year increase. Worldwide da Vinci procedures were up 16% as surgical volumes recovered from the pandemic.

Intuitive Surgical shipped 298 da Vinci surgical systems in the first quarter, an increase of 26% compared to the first quarter of 2020, bringing the total number of systems installed to 6,142.

Intuitivel’s first-quarter revenues jumped up 18% year-over-year, exceeding the Wall Street analysts' expectations, to $1.29bn, the company reported on 20 April.
