Worldwide standards group ASTM International is proposing a new standard that will provide a cleaning agent formula for removing dried blood from stainless steel medical devices.

ASTM says the proposed cleaning formula will be tested against relevant tests found in the group’s device detergents guide, D8179-18. The standard is being developed under the moniker
