Siemens Healthineers To Spend €160M Building R&D And Manufacturing Hub In India

The company is the second big medtech to announce a major investment in R&D in the country in 2020.

Siemens Healthineers AG will invest €160m ($189m) over five years to develop its “innovation hub” in India and will also add 1,800 experts in data analytics, artificial intelligence and immersive technologies over the next 10 years as part of a drive into emerging markets in Southeast Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and South America.
