US health systems are canceling elective surgeries in response to COVID-19 to preserve critical resources. Massachusetts General Hospital works with medtechs to find technological solutions to keep patients and caregivers safe.

As hospitals across the United States prepare for an influx of COVID-19 patients, many are choosing to follow recommendations by the US Surgeon General to cancel elective surgeries and move routine care to virtual visits in an effort to prevent infections and make room for critically ill patients.
