Roche Launches COVID-19 Test For Cobas System; BioMérieux Plans Three COVID-19 Tests

Roche announced that the US FDA has granted an Emergency Use Authorization for the cobas SARS-CoV-2 test for patients suspected to have COVID-19. bioMérieux is planning three COVID-19 tests.

Roche Diagnostics Corp. and bioMerieux SA are joining the growing list of in vitro diagnostics makers addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 13 March, Roche announced that the US Food and Drug Administration issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for its test for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 disease.
