Medtronic Unveils New AI Colonoscopy System, GI Genius

Experts gathered at UEG Week in Barcelona to discuss the future of AI in endoscopy

Medtronic has launched a new artificial intelligence enhanced endoscopy system, for recognizing pre-cancerous polyps, in Europe. The gastroenterology community convened at an expert panel discussion hosted by Medtronic during UEG Week to discuss the future of AI in endoscopy.

Medtronic PLC launched its artificial intelligence (AI) endoscopy system, GI Genius, during United European Gastroenterology Week in Barcelona, Spain.

The medtech giant is bringing the system to market through a distribution agreement with Dublin-based Cosmo Pharmaceuticals, which developed the technology.
