A new program is being launched in the UK that will use health data and artificial intelligence to develop new tools for diagnosing conditions such as cancer, dementia and heart disease at an earlier stage, allowing people to take preventive action or be treated more effectively, possibly before symptoms appear.
The project, called Accelerating Detection of Disease, will benefit from investment by the government and life science companies looking to develop new diagnostic methods as well as support from a range of charities including Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation and Alzheimer’s Research UK
