About Three Months' Worth Of Carryover Device Fees Remaining, FDA's Gottlieb Says

US FDA has about three months' worth of medical device carryover user-fee funds to burn if the partial federal government shutdown continues, although the agency is still finalizing its shutdown balance sheet, Commissioner Scott Gottlieb says.

US FDA medical device reviewers have about three month's worth of funding to support ongoing activities during the the partial government shutdown, Commissioner Scott Gottlieb disclosed on Twitter.

Medical device submissions made prior to the Dec. 22 start of the shutdown can be reviewed during the lapse period as long as "carryover" user fee funds remain available. Up...
