New proposals have been put forward by Hong Kong Department of Health's Medical Device Control Office (MDCO) to create a modern, efficient regulatory system that incentivizes innovation.

The MDCO, which runs the region's Medical Device Administrative Control System, acknowledges that there is currently no specific legislative control over the import and sale of medical devices in Hong Kong
