The first transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) was performed 16 years ago and it is now a well-entrenched part of cardiac care worldwide. Interventional cardiologist Martin Leon, one of the pioneers of TAVR, says people think that innovation TAVR has reached its saturation point, but he is not one of them.
