US FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb unveiled new steps to push the agency's digital-health agenda forward. The commissioner says he believes digital health has the potential to solve broad problems in health care, such as understanding safety and efficacy, reducing costs and collecting data when developing new drugs.
Gottlieb spoke to attendees on April 26 at the 2018 Datapalooza conference, hosted by Academy Health, in Washington, D.C. The commissioner talked about a new digital health plan.
