Current value-based payment (VBP) models lack enough quality measures to assess the value of medical technologies, so much so that patients may lose access to needed devices when VBPs are put into place, says a new report sponsored by AdvaMed and written by the consulting group Discern Health.
The report, "Medical Technology in the Value-Based Environment: An Assessment of Quality Measures Gap," was released on Dec. 19.
