US FDA Planning For Possible Doubling Of HQ-Based Staff In 15 Years

A federal facilities agency will gauge impact of FDA staffing increase to about 18,000 at its White Oak campus.

US FDA, already dealing with space problems in the Washington, DC, area, could see staff at its White Oak headquarters double in 15 years.

Agency-proposed masterplans now project the population at White Oak could increase to about 18,000 employees during that time, a signal that FDA officials believe growth – as well as facility...

Today, there are about 9,000 employees at the main campus. The agency listed 16,381 full-time equivalents across all its facilities around the country in FY 2016.
