The US Senate plans to move forward with the FDA Reauthorization Act, which would reauthorize medical device user fees through fiscal year 2022, on Aug. 3, according to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kent.
McConnell is anxious to get the FDARA bill approved before senators leave for the summer recess, scheduled to start on Aug. 11. The leader filed cloture on a motion to proceed with the FDA user fee package – a move that tees up the bill for debate on Aug. 3. The bill was swiftly approved by the House on July 12, without amendments
