Norian continues development of its skeletal repair system, an injectable calcium phosphate cement (Norian SRS) that hardens in vivo to form hydroxyapatite which resembles bone mineral both morphologically and biochemically. The cement is placed in a syringe and injected into the fracture site where it sets rapidly. The company has set up a multicentre clinical trial to test SRS in intertrochanteric hip fractures.
