While Congress would provide an additional $300m for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention to fight the Zika virus and other infectious diseases in a Labor/HHS appropriations package approved by a House subcommittee July 7, the bill would be paid for, in part, by defunding any Affordable Care Act programs in 2017.
